These 'Double Haters' Have Lost Faith in Both Parties--and Could Decide the Midterms

Rising tide of voter disenchantment stands to benefit Democrats in this year’s midterm contests

  • A Wall Street Journal poll found that 21% of the voter pool holds an unfavorable view of both the Democratic and Republican parties.
  • The share of “double haters” is now higher than in past elections.
  • Democrats currently lead among these doubly dissatisfied voters, but 40% are undecided or not fully committed to either party.

I never thought of myself as much of a “hater”, but maybe I’ll embrace it in this case.
